💡 Wellness Tip of the Week: Protect Your Peace

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month

Try this: Set a 5-minute boundary ritual once a day.
Whether it’s stepping outside without your phone, writing a thought down before bed, or saying “no” without overexplaining—these small acts protect your energy and create space to breathe.

“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.”

Anne Lamott

🛍️ Local Love: Nomad Yoga

There’s something special about watching the sun rise over Tempe Town Lake, surrounded by a group of strangers who came to move, sweat, and breathe together. That’s the energy Nomad Yoga brings—movement that meets you where you are, literally.

Nomad isn’t your typical studio. It’s a traveling yoga experience founded by Abby Bevan, a certified yoga sculpt instructor with a vision: take powerful, energizing classes out of four walls and into real-life spaces—lakefronts, fairways, rooftops, and wherever the good energy flows. I actually discovered them through TikTok (yes, the algorithm did something right for once) and instantly saved the clip. It was one of their Sunrise Sculpt classes, with mats lined up against the orange sky and everyone lunging in unison. It was magnetic.

Abby teaches Sunrise Sculpt every Friday at 6:15 AM at Tempe Town Lake. The class is free (yes, free!) and runs on community vibes + optional donations. Bring your mat, your coffee, and maybe a friend who needs to shake off the week.
👉 Reserve your spot

But Nomad isn’t just for early risers. They also offer private yoga sculpt sessions for bachelorette parties, bridesmaids, best friends, or sorority sisters looking for something more soulful than bar hopping. If you’re planning something this summer and want an event that actually feels good in your body and your mind, this is it.

This Saturday, Nomad is hosting Namaste on the Fairway, a morning flow on the lush grass at Rolling Hills. Sun, breath, and cactus-lined views included.
👉 Book the event

Nomad Yoga is the kind of local biz I love spotlighting in Desert Dose—a young entrepreneur using the power of social media, community, and movement to bring people together in ways that feel both energizing and intentional.
